57% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. 15% new oak. Dark crimson. Scented and very opulent. Lovely for now. Truly juicy and sweet - black fruits and liquorice. Sweet and easy - just not very concentrated. Succulent start and only a problem on the finish where the tannins start to bite. For early drinking - very well managed. Though pretty tannic and dry on the finish. 2013-17 17

Wine & Spirits(2000 Vintage) Very dark ruby in the glass, almost blackish, with a narrow ruby rim. Syrupy legs, slow, and stained with purple tint. Pronounced aromatics - blackberry, cedar, plum compote, cloves, cardamon - some wafts of alcohol - showing big fruit. Also, an earthy, mushroom component, subtle, layering the nose with intriguing organics beneath the heavy fruit. The palate has a chewy texture, almost jammy, with dense fruitcake flavors, but the woodsy, cedar spice and firm structure prevent the fruit from seeming overly ripe. The tannins are still strong, but not overbearing - although delicious now, I may keep mine in the cellar for another five years, giving the massive fruit and tannins time to integrate.
