(From 2009 Vintage) Violette, blue fruit, crushed blueberry, cool expression, excellent concentration with noticeable tannin.
Ausone's second wine, La Chapelle d'Ausone, is better than most Ausone cuveeswere in the fifties, sixties, and seventies. Made in the style of its biggersibling, but with softer tannin and not nearly the sublime concentration, the2006 reveals aromas, flavors, and a character similar to Ausone. This beautymust be tasted to be believed. It should drink well for 25+ years. (www.erobertparker.com)
