(2013 Vintage) Red-black fruits, floral and vegetal, earthy and savoury with a hint of tobacco from the Tempranillo in the blend. Filled with light, La Montesa gurgles gently, delicate and open, nimble and running, mineral and elegant. Structurally, it’s close to impossible to tell where earth, oak, tannin, acid and minerals each begin and end … they meld to affect a disarmingly simple ‘mouthfeel’ within the fruit.
Wine Spectator(2013 Vintage) A thick texture carries plum tart, orange peel, toasted vanilla and anise flavors in this ripe version, balanced by juicy acidity. The spicy, berry-scented finish is long and pure.
