2006 Bodega Numanthia Termes Toro Numanthia

Wine Description

Firm tannins frame black cherry, mineral, licorice and herbal notes in this chewy red. Well-proportioned, with lively acidity and a lovely floral finish.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2009 Vintage) Ungratfed vines between 50 and 100 years old give birth to Numanthia, the estate’s signature wine. Low yields provide concentrated fruit of remarkable intensity and power, carefully nurtured during vinification.18 months’ ageing in French oak brings balance and structure. Wood aromas on the nose are coupled with notes of berries, cedar and liquorice in the mouth, closing with a long, silken finish.
