Wine Description

(2005 Vintage) Ruby-red in color with deep spice and dried fruit aromas. This is one of the most exciting wines on the market, offering explosive flavors of dried black cherry, cassis, truffles, chocolate fudge and tar. Luscious and complex, with a lingering finish, this wine is recommended with hearty, roasted meats, game and mature cheeses.

(2007 Vintage) Made by running the Valpolicella wine over the pressings (or pomace) of the firmrsquo;s Amarones (this triggering a second fermentation and adding additional depth and body), the 2003 Valpolicella Ripassa offers enticing notes of melted road tar, truffles, chocolate, jammy blackberry and cherry fruit, and grilled almonds. Full-bodied, intense, powerful, and beautifully balanced, it will drink well for 3ndash;4 years.
  • Antonio Galloni
(2006 Vintage) "The 2006 Valpolicella Classico Ripassa reveals lovely clarity and precision in its perfumed dark fruit. This vibrant, poised Valpolicella offers tons of depth and a long, refreshing finish. Zenato's Valpolicella is made from 80% Corvina, 10% Sangiovese and 10% Rondinella, and is aged in small French oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2014."
