(From 2008 Vintage) Cono Sur was born around the oldest Pinot Noir vineyards in Chile. They were the first in Chile to produce and export Premium Pinot Noir. Producing this variety has been Cono Sur’s most exiting challenge. Their “Pinot Noir project” started in 1999, with the aim of producing the best Pinot Noir in Chile: unique, expressive and proud of its New World roots, while vinified according to the Burgundian tradition. In mouth it shows intense sweet fruit, elegance, rich texture and concentrated flavours. This amazing Pinot Noir has very soft tannins, a great structure and a rich and long lasting ending. It is a perfect companion for red meats, poultry, duck and mature cheeses. It’s also an excellent option to serve next to Easter Island tuna fish, or different kinds of rice, such us risottos or sushi. Cheese-wise, something white and ripe like Brie is a great choice.
