Two Hands

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2012 Vintage) Also decidedly fresh and pure, the 2010 Two Hands Shiraz Lily's Garden is a beauty. Aged for 18 months in 8% new American oak hogsheads, with the balance mostly neutral American oak, it is deep and dark-fruited on the nose, with aromas of charred earth, underbrush, graphite, and cracked pepper all showing with time in the glass. This medium to full-bodied Shiraz has beautiful concentration, juicy acidity, and a clean, focused texture that carries through the dry, structured finish. As with the Max’s Garden bottling, this will benefit from short term cellaring, and drink well for over a decade.

Dark purple. Fresh red and dark berry aromas are accented by sexy floral and mineral nuances. This suave, silky midweight features luscious raspberry and blueberry flavors brightened by zesty minerality and firmed by youthful tannins. A subtle vanilla note comes up on the finish, which features powerful red and blue fruit flavors, a velvety texture and excellent persistence.
