2005 Rombauer Vineyards Chardonnay Carneros

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2013 Vintage) The 2013 Chardonnay displays juicy peaches, pineapple and lime greet the nose, followed by vanilla and cedar. Ripe tropical fruit and fig jam flood the lush, silky palate. Soft spice, vanilla and nectarines mark the lengthy finish, while fresh, mouthwatering acidity leaves you longing for another glass.

(From 2006 Vintage) This creamy, oak-sweetened wine displays plenty of appley fruit by way of attractive varietal character and sports a racy touch of balancing acidity that keeps it light on its feet and refreshingly vital. It will succeed equally well as a partner to richer chicken dishes as it does to broiled or grilled fish, and it is perfectly suited to near-term enjoyment.

(From 2009 Vintage) Rombauer Vineyards' 2006 Carneros Chardonnay is rich and full-bodied with peach, apple, and mango aromas and flavors. The creamy texture of asian pears and peaches glides across the palate and the light oak tones highlight the wine's complex and lingering finish.
