(From 2012 Vintage) #76 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2015
Concentrated, perfumed and youthful, the nose exhibits fresh pears and white nectarines with an underlying floral lift of lemon blossom. Subtle notes of pistachio, cinnamon quill, blanched almonds and rice wafer lie beneath. Powerful, yet very fine, the palate has tension with a thread of minerality. Limes, pear skin and lemon sorbet lead to a finely textured mid-palate, with layering and subtle oak integration. The purity and clarity of the fruit is the feature throughout.
complexity has developed with a more seductive nose followed by a lingering tropical fruits finish. likely to develop further 06/12 has indeed matured nicely with a more pronounced tropical nose followed by elegant complexity. still good for a number of years. 06/14 continues to mature. classy, creamy, representative of 1st class burgundy. flexible to go with wide range of food. has legs for 2 years more at least.

Wine Spectator"Round, generous and amazingly fresh, with a juicy hint of grapefruit playing against spicy pear, green guava and mint aromas and flavors that expand and persist onto the long, expressive finish. This just doesn't quit, remaining exquisitely balanced. Drink now through 2017. 500 cases imported."
