(2010 Vintage) Crazy nose with chocolate, smoke, grilled meat, ripe fruits and walnuts. The palate goes on for minutes with plum, berry, spice, chocolate and nuts. Full body, velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Amazing quality. Biodynamically grown grapes.
Robert Parker(2011 Vintage) Here’s a standard and absolutely correct Brunello that is a solid choice for near-term drinking or as an excellent pairing partner to your favorite foods at your local restaurant. In other words, the Le Ragnaie 2011 Brunello di Montalcino is better consumed now and does not demand long cellar aging. The bouquet is savory and rustic with dark fruit and tobacco. The tannins are firm but silky. This wine is ready to drink.
Wine Spectator(2011 Vintage) An elegant, cherry-scented red, picking up flavors of earth, spice and tobacco. Shows fine harmony and soft tannins, remaining approachable now. Fine length. Drink now through 2023. 250 cases made. -BS
