(From 2012 Vintage) This Douro packs plenty of ripe herby fruit and a juicy rich palate to make it our most appealing red from this region.

"The 2005 "TRES BAGOS" opens with a rush of fruit, but it is mostly the velvety texture that gets your attention as the mid-palate is rather modest. It takes an hour or so for the flavors to become apparent, at which time the wine has a lot more charm than seemed apparent, but it does thin out. It is very bright, and there is a certain raspberry nuance as it airs out.
