Winemaker's Notes

(From 2006 Vintage) "Jean Saint Honore Meursault is produced exclusively from the vineyards surrounding the village or Meursault. The grapes are hand harvested and the wine is aged for 10-14 months in small French oak casks, prior to bottling. It will develop great flavors and bouquet with bottle aging or can be enjoyed young. This is an excellent example of a great French White Burgundy that is available only in limited quantities." -Winery

Tight nose, but oxidized apple, creaminess. Somethin' else... brown apple nose, Intense wine here, perfect balance, serious flavor, very very dry, more like a med red wine than a white. Sour flavor tho'. Some smokiness in the flavor. dry (minor smoky) finish. no lemon anywhere near this. It is oily smooth on the mouthfeel. Gets better with time, is it nuttiness? almond oil? no heat obviously.
