(From 2001 Vintage) Bright cherry, new oak, vanilla, and sweet herb scents. Well balanced with good acidity and light to moderate tannin. It finishes.
The nose is almost sensual in its complexity, with aromas of forest fruits, plums, licorice, mineral and coffee scents. Long, complex finish with fine, silk-like tannins and good acidity; dense structure, full of super-ripe fruit.
Taste Flavours of thick black cherries (the nebbiolo), blueberries (the merlot), and chocolate-covered-espresso-stuffed raspberries (cabernet). Colour Attractive ruby red. Nose Earthy and tar notes that are more Barolo combine with floral tones more reminiscent of Bordeaux. Accompanies Such an unusual wine with so many flavours it is difficult to say with any clarity the exact meal combinations. This wine would go well with all the traditional dishes associated with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Barolo.
