(2013 Vintage) The 2013 Freeman Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir shows a medium garnet color and has a true Sonoma Coast nose of fresh Mirabelle plums, wild herbs, and toasted oak. The zesty acidity of the refreshing palate compliments the ripe 2013 fruit without the abundance of hard tannin we sometimes find in less ripe years. Wood strawberries and rhubarb are the predominant flavors on the palate.
International Wine CellarRating: 89/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 132, May/June 2007 ($38) Dark red. Red and dark berry aromas are enlivened by cinnamon, nutmeg and more exotic Asian spices, as well as a strong hit of fresh rose. Tangy red berry flavors gain depth with air, picking up a suave mineral tone. The focused, bright finish displays an impressive mix of freshness and power.
