(2009 Vintage) The 2009 has attractive tropical notes on the nose, backed up by hints of guava, fennel and lemon grass. The palate is generously textured, but not too plump; its oak buttress discrete but solid. The finish is creamy and rather indulgent…hard to resist.
Color = rich deep ruby Aroma = raspberries, valentine roses, black pepper Taste = dry, tending toward the salty Consistency = full-bodied Architecture = balanced, smooth, no bitter tannins Finish = medium-length, warm & peppery Evaluation = We would definitely buy this wine again to serve with high-end beef dishes. It's mature & ready to drink now!
