Wine Advocate Review Rated 97 Elderton's flagship is the single vineyard Command Shiraz, a wine with serious aging potential, and one with which all other South Australia Shiraz must be compared. International Wine Cellar(2004 Vintage) Dark purple. Bright red and dark berry scents display impressive focus and clarity, with subtle baking spice and vanilla notes adding complexity. Very fresh-in fact almost painfully young-with nervy raspberry and cherry flavors supported by silky tannins and a jolt of acidity on the back. This opened up a bit with air, but really should be cellared for at least another five years.

Big, rich, somewhat complex. This wine looks like it's cloudy, but must be unfiltered to come across as such. Very long on the front and mid-palate. Lots of candied cherry & caramel. Oaky flavours are well pronounced.
