Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2007 Vintage) Once again, Mike Dashe has captured the sweet berryish fruit of Dry Creek Zinfandel, and it is accompanied in the nose by a hint of green berries on the one hand and ripe, almost chocolaty bits on the other. The wine is both ripe and tight on the palate with acidity played back as the wine finishes. Age might help bring it together, but there is no guarantee that this admittedly likeable wine will change dramatically.
