Château Rieussec’s second wine is selected according to the same standards as the first wine. Its character consistently reveals a beautiful aromatic range dominated by citrus flavours. Carmes de Rieussec’s name is a reference to the Carmelite monks in Langon, who owned the Rieussec estate in the 18th century.
Reasonably sweet. Distinct apricot character immediatey off the smell and taste. Sweetness and fruity flavour lasts a while. Thinner and lighter than I thought it would be.
Very good nose and smooth entry. Plenty of fruits and flavors. 01/15 more complexity. maturing nicely. not as impressive as Climens 2007 at this stage.
