(2005 Vintage) "Banfis Centine Rosé 2005 (the first vintage for this wine) is designated I.G.T. Indicazione Geografica Typica because rosé wines are not officially permitted in Tuscany. Who cares? This is a terrific version. The color is light cherry with a peach overlay, but the scents and flavors are pure strawberry-raspberry with hints of smacky, juicy melon and Rainier cherry. An impression of sweetness on the entry, because the fruit is so ripe, immediately turns dry.
