(1999 Vintage) The unseasonably cool growing season of 1999 was a near perfect closing vintage for the century. Harvest was relatively late but ripeness was optimum for nearly all varietals in Clarksburg. The fruit character of the 1999 Chenin Blanc is complex and accessible. Fragrant with notes of honeysuckle and passion fruit, the impression on the palate is crisp, clean, and refreshing.
