(From 2009 Vintage) On the nose, aromas of honeysuckle and white peach hintat sweetness. However, this wine is dry on the palate with notes of ripe apricot, lemon-lime, melon and lychee. A lingering finish has a touch of minerality, a signature characteristic of our vineyard.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesCompeting elements of chalky earth and sweet oak in the nose overshadow a bit of confected, slightly candied, pear-like fruit, and the wine's flavors stay right in step with a simple, sweet-and-acidy, vaguely lemon-drop character that is only marginally varietal at best.
