Winemaker's Notes

(From 2008 Vintage) Bright red. Complex and inviting aromas of red cherry, violet, brown spices, mocha and licorice; I couldn't keep my nose out of the glass. Sweet and subtle on the palate, with very good inner-mouth perfume and energy to the flavors of red fruits, marzipan and mocha. Finishes long, smooth and clean, with a firm tannic spine. This is a standout entry-level Brunello--no mean trick when production is in the range of 100,000 bottles.
