Pinot Noir

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2011 Vintage) A ripe, fresh red, brimming with dark berry flavors that play against hints of loamy earth and black tea as the finely tannic finish lingers.

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
Each of the Sineann bottlings carries its own hint of a stavelike, oaky character, but it is more pronounced here than elsewhere in the group, and, given the wine's elevated ripeness and slight shortfall in central fruitiness, this one winds up delivering mixed messages. Its size and richness make it interesting enough, but we would opt for one of the others.
