(2010 Vintage) Our 100% Rutherford estate grown Sauvignon Blanc has fresh floral and grapefruit flavors with a hint of flinty minerality on the nose. On the palate, there are additional soft, oak overtones displaying full bodied and well integrated flavors. Stainless steel fermented and barrel aged for 5 months in two year French oak barrels, this is a well balanced Sauvignon Blanc, with a surprisingly long finish.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2002 Vintage) We like this wine's open and available cherry-like character and we like its sense of frontal richness, but as it tightens and shows a rather narrow and nervy back end, it loosens its grasp on fruit. We are not quite ready to bet on its future, but a few years of age just might turn the trick and allow for the added expansion its full recommendation requires.
