15% Cabernet Franc; 5% Petit Verdot. Complex and invitingly rich aromas of currants, ripe cherries, baked caramel and forest floor notes give this young wine plenty of interest, and the deep and inviting flavors give up nothing for their part. Supple at the first and rich at the back despite an abundant supply of youthful tannin and a tendency towards dark chocolate in the aftertaste, the wine is further evidence that the very ripe 2004 Cabernets are a hedonistically pleasing lot.
