9% Syrah; 8% Merlot. Here is a clean, smoothly textured, mid-sized Cabernet that eschews extract and pushy ripeness in favor of balance and accessible fruit. It delivers a modest measure of currants and cherries backed up by muted oak, and its very back- ground tannins make it a wine to enjoy over the next few years. GOOD VALUE
