Dark, dense and still very young in the nose, yet surprisingly frontal and fairly direct on the palate, this fleshy, medium-full-bodied working sends the mixed messages of both straightforward fruitiness and the potential for more once a few years have passed. We would have no problems in matching it up with a juicy Porterhouse steak in the near term, but we are also betting that it finds more interest and a bit broader reach if held for five or six years.
