(From 2014 Vintage) Pouilly Fuissé is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes. The production is small (700 hectares planted) and cover steep slopes of the village of Fuisé, Solutré, Pouilly, Vergisson and Chaintré, on which the soils are a mixture of clay and chalk from the Jurassic era. One part of the wine is fermented in vats and the other in oak barrels in order to have a fresh and fruity wine with a good structure.
(From 2014 Vintage) Ripe, supple and of medium body, this classic expression of Pouilly-Fuissé shows vibrant Chardonnay fruit flavors with notes of melon and minerals, gently touched with oak, ending in a fresh, silky finish.
