(From 2014 Vintage) A soft, elegant and approachable wine - medium-bodied with complete, rounded characters. Loved around the world, Lindeman’s Bin Series wines are approachable in style, consistent in quality with global appeal. Designed to be opened, enjoyed and shared time and time again, these are wines people simply love to drink. Lindeman’s most well-known range began with the iconic Lindeman’s Bin 65 Chardonnay, which was first launched in 1985 in response to the popularity of Lindeman’s approachable and fruit-driven style of wines in the northern hemisphere. The Bin Series has grown to incorporate 18 popular varieties and blends. Lindeman’s Bin 40 Merlot features aromas of blackberry and ripe plum with underlying spicy oak, while the palate is soft and generous with flavours of dark red berry fruit supported by textural savoury oak and silky tannins.
(From 2014 Vintage) Vineyard Regions: Predominantly from the Riverland district of north-eastern Victoria with significant proportions from the premium wine growing regions of the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills.
Vintage Conditions: A beautiful spring led to flourishing growth and a warmer than average summer throughout South Australia. An abundant canopy and careful vineyard management protected the Merlot grapes from the worst of the heat resulting in a crop with ripe, forward flavours. This was combined with the elegance of premium fruit from cooler regions, resulting in a balanced, flavour driven wine.
Wine & Spirits(From 2008 Vintage) Berry and cherry flavors dominate this medium-bodied Merlot. Hints of tea with sweet oak and fresh raspberry emerge on the mid palate. The finish is soft and sweet with mild tannins.
