(2004 Vintage) 98% Syrah, 2% Grenache This Columbia Valley Syrah shows minty blueberry and plum fruit with brambly flavors of raspberry and cranberry. A complex panoply of mocha, leather, spice and pepper intermixed on the elegant, richly structured finish.
International Wine Cellar(2002 Vintage) Deep saturated ruby. Liqueur-like black raspberry and tar on the slightly roasted nose. Fat and sweet, but without the definition of the Seven Hills bottling. Roasted black fruits are a bit monolithic and just this side of pruney. Fairly tannic but not dry.
Wine Spectator(2002 Vintage) Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by Wine Spectator on 10/15/04.
