His work exemplifies bold, graphic media that stands out amid the urban clutter, beautifying the environment while stimulating the public to think critically. He is one of today’s best-known and most influential street artists. The “Peace Woman” is a symbolic representation of the peaceful, nurturing side of humanity. Fairey feels that the female trait of empathy should be embraced to maintain a balanced society. The Wine This silky Cabernet Sauvignon is an extravagant wine of great depth and concentration exhibiting complex aromas of black currants, tea leaves and dark chocolate. It is blended with a small percentage of Malbec, adding a distinctly rich and ripe flavor that is followed by spicy and aromatic notes. The wine is approachable when young; however its excellent structure characterized by its full-bodied tannins will allow it to improve for many years. Composition: 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec Aging: 30 months in 88% French Oak and 12% American Oak barrels Appellation: Sonoma County - 79% Sonoma Valley, 21% Dry Creek Valley Alcohol: 15.5% http://www.kenwoodvineyards.com (hide)

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
Admittedly a bigger, deeper wine than its sibling above, this one relies far too much on weight and bombast and comes up all too short on central fruit in both nose and mouth. Boldly tannic but soft in its underbelly, it is not all that inviting today and provides too little encouragement for its future.

Rating: 88/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 04/09. Rich oak melds with blackberry and black olive flavors in this dark cabernet. It finishes warm and a little astringent, needing a steak to match its tannin.
