(From 2009 Vintage) This is a lovely Cabernet to drink now and over the next few years. It shows its Oakville pedigree with smooth tannins and dry, complex flavors of blackberry, black currant and cherry, with a fine earthiness.
The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is big and lush with huge gobs of fruit in the aroma and flavor. The texture of the wine is soft and supple, typical of Cabernet Sauvignons grown in our area of the Oakville AVA. Patience during bottle aging will reward the "steward" with an outstanding bottle over the next 10 to 15 years.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2003 Vintage) Solidly varietal aromas of dried grasses and hay, melon and citrus are moderately rich and just a little on the pungent side. Slightly rounded yet also a touch narrow and pinched, the wine picks up a stony, minerally edge and closes with a hint of bitterness in its otherwise mildly fruity aftertaste.
