(2002 Vintage) Here is a fully resolved, old-fashioned Zinfandel that clearly illustrates why Italian farmers first planted this variety back in the mid-1800s throughout Amador County. On one hand it is ripe and juicy. On the other hand, it is rustic and country. The nose is dripping with cherries, vanilla, cinnamon and sage. The palate is soft and generous. All in all, this is everything one would expect from an Amador County Zinfandel.
