(From 2013 Vintage) Made with Pinot Noir grapes -- the variety for which Etude is justly known – this is a bold, flavorful Rose, brimming with notes of dried cranberries, fresh cherries and a touch of orange peel. Juicy and well-structured, the wine fills the mouth with similar fresh, fruit flavors, with hints of honeydew melon and light brown spice.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2005 Vintage) Very well-crafted red cherry, dried flower, light spice and creme brulee richness lift this wine into prominence. It is medium-full in body, very carefully balanced and already beginning to show a silky, velvety side to its invitingly supple texture. It is generous yet refined in style and it never loses site of its varietal fruit even in the face of latter palate astringency that asks for a cellar stay of some three to five years.
