(2013 Vintage) The vineyard of Morey Saint Denis has 20 Premiers Crus and Grands Crus 5 located on the hill overlooking the eponymous village. Morey Saint Denis is in the transition between the vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin in the North and Chambolle Musigny to the South. The closest parcels in Gevrey Chambertin generally offer the most powerful wines while the latter are refined since we Chambolle Musigny approaches. Real closed Cistercian belted his wall, Premier Crus Morey Saint Denis "Clos de la Bussiere" is an old property of the Abbaye de La Bussiere. This vineyard, located south of the appellation, remained monopoly since its origin (12th century).
Burghound"Fairly heavy reduction makes the nose difficult to read though the flavors are rich, sweet and relatively fine for this cru with a nice tough of finishing minerality on the moderately gassy finish. Promising but awkward."
