Wine Description

On the palate the wine delivers a swathe of soft creamy autumn fruits. Rich and volutous this also displays shades of sweet and spicy new oak on the finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Olivier Bernard has crafted two of the wines of the vintage: Domaine de
Chevalier's Rouge and Blanc. By reducing his crop through rigorous green
harvesting and later removing leaves to expose the grapes to the Indian
summer's sun, he provided winemaker Stéphane Derenoncourt with the perfect
ingredient with which to work. Their red wine exhibits intoxicating Graves
minerality and terroir with a ripe black fruit core. The very long finish
suggests that a little patience will be required for this wine, read more...but it
undoubtedly rivals wines at four times its price. (hide)
