Juicy, spicy and penetrating on entry, then lush and rather exotic in the mid-palate, with a liqueur-like quality to the flavors of black fruit, spices, mocha, minerals and flowers. Finishes opulent and long, with just a trace of heat. From vines grown on the highest point of the Cotes de Castillon appellation, a little-known but very high-quality terroir that has much in common with Saint-Emilion's famous limestone plateau.
