(From 2006 Vintage) This wine is deep and profound in color, with a beautiful brilliance. The nose reveals very ripe black fruit. In the mouth, power and elegance are intertwined with notes of cassis, black cherry, and blackberry balanced by juniper and clove spice and surrounded by illusive minerality. The blend brings harmony to a strong structure with good tannins imparted by 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The spices, complexity and red fruit aromas are the signature of our Cabernet Franc grown in limestone. With notes of black fruit, the Merlot brings a velvety softness over a complex power. This bottle will age nicely for 10 to 20 years.
