Chateau Larrivet-Haut Brion Pessac Léognan Rouge

Wine Description

(From 2007 Vintage) A lovely garnet, its bouquet is a beautiful complex, ripe fruit, leather, vanilla, smoke and mocha, the range is wide. As for the palace, its soft and silky attack, powerful tannins and sap make it a perfect expression of serious soil. Food Pairings : Papillotes lamb, quail with figs curl.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2010 Vintage) A dark plum/ruby/purple color is accompanied by hints of graphite, blueberries, tobacco and herbs in this medium to full-bodied 2010. It possesses rugged tannins as well as good freshness, depth and ripeness, but appears to be slightly disjointed and in need of more identity. There is plenty going on, but at present, this wine is primary and earthy.
