It's no surprise that this zesty Reserva was just awarded a Gold Medal in The Decanter Magazine World Wine Awards for 2010 as well as a 90 point score from the Wine Advocate. From the Bodegas Franco-Espanolas a winery with a history going back 100 years comes this blend of Tempranillo Graciano and Mazuelo that's been aged to perfection first in toasted American oak casks and then in bottle for a total of 2 years. Comments about Rioja Bordon 2004 Reserva, Bodegas Franco Espanolas: This 2004 Reserve Rioja, had just enough age, so I wouldn't feel guilty opening it. My friends and I were greatly rewarded. It was superb with our steaks and added to a memorable evening!
