(2003 Vintage) "Dark red brick in color. Abundant aromas of violets and lavender mixed with vanilla and fine toasted oak. This food-friendly wine has a classic Bordeaux-style mouth-feel that is lush yet spicy, bringing out the best of the Cabernet Franc grape. The wine has a wonderful balance between elegant and vibrant fruit, ripe tannins and mark characters. The long finish is complex and very classic. While ready to drink, this wine will continue to develop with long-term aging." -Winery
Robert Parker(2014 Vintage) The 2014 Cabernet Franc also has 25% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for one year in barrels (94% French, only about 15% new overall). This projects the feeling of coating the palate, supple and luxurious, but it isn’t all that concentrated. That said, it hangs together well, shows great fruit and a touch of veggies, just a touch. This approachable wine should be an easy drinker over the next few years.
