Wine.comComposition: 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot Trefethen's primary estate vineyard is located in the heart of the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley AVA. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the northwest quadrant of the vineyard, where the gravelly soils warm quickly in the spring, ensuring the fruit ripens fully while retaining its characteristic bright, complex character. Complex, luxurious nose of ripe dark berry, plum and cassis fruit with complementary scents of clove, nutmeg and star anise. On the lushly textured palate, the wine's fresh, rich, concentrated, raspberry jam flavors are enriched by a savory oak tone that frames the long, fruitful finish.
