(2003 Vintage) An expressive, generous wine with an aromatic nose of violets, faded rose and ripe black fruit. These impressions carry onto the palate with a texture of velvety richness and ripe, mellow tannins ending in an elegant, persistent finish and extended retro-olfaction. The wine approaches maturity in most vintages in ten to fifteen years.
International Wine Cellar(2005 Vintage) Deep red. Strong oak spice and vanilla accent ripe raspberry and candied cherry aromas. Lush, supple and sweet, with jammy red and dark berry flavors, moderate acidity and slow-building tannins on the finish. Impressively round and full, with expansive berry flavors and a suave character, but I don't know if I'd have guessed this to be a Beaujolais.
