Deep ruby-red. Sappy aromas of black raspberry, cassis, black cherry, licorice and smoked meat. Dense, chewy and quite dry, with strong if unrefined black fruit flavors framed by firm acids. This could use more pliancy of texture. Finishes tannic and a tad pinched.
