Wine Details

Wine Description

(From 2013 Vintage) A combination of night-harvested Russian River Valley grapes, French oak aging and old-world winemaking techniques create a balanced white wine defined by purity of stone fruit flavors, vibrant acidity and a succulent finish that makes you want to take another sip. Not a typical California Chardonnay, Jordan is harmoniously balanced to best pair with a broad range of foods.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2012 Vintage) 2012 was truly a phenomenal growing season with the best weather—every winemaker’s dream. The foundation for the 2012 Jordan Russian River Valley Chardonnay was a bountiful crop that exhibited exceptionally vibrant, stone fruit characters and bright acidity, ensuring a delicious white wine for food pairing that is more akin to France than California.

Expert Reviews
  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
This slightly viscous but essentially hollow wine starts out with muddled aromas of cooked pears and herbs and follows with dryish, underfruited flavors. Very much wanting for extract and real fruity substance, it grows increasingly coarse and gradually heats up at the end.
