(From 2013 Vintage) A combination of night-harvested Russian River Valley grapes, French oak aging and old-world winemaking techniques create a balanced white wine defined by purity of stone fruit flavors, vibrant acidity and a succulent finish that makes you want to take another sip. Not a typical California Chardonnay, Jordan is harmoniously balanced to best pair with a broad range of foods.
In keeping with our classic Old-World style of Chardonnay, this vintage possesses a citrus and mineral bouquet that reveals notes of crisp green apple, kiwi, honey and lightly toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is lively and complex with flavors that include pear, fuji apple and limestone balanced with toasty oak. All of these refined flavors contribute to the balanced expression of fruit aroma, flavor and finish, making this the perfect complement to many types of cuisine.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesThis slightly viscous but essentially hollow wine starts out with muddled aromas of cooked pears and herbs and follows with dryish, underfruited flavors. Very much wanting for extract and real fruity substance, it grows increasingly coarse and gradually heats up at the end.
