(2012 Vintage) A blend of the classic Bordeaux varietals – Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Vibrant aromas and flavors of fresh blackberry jam, cassis, cedar, anise, blueberry, spiced rum, coffee and caramel combine with a rich mid-palate with round tannins. This wine’s upfront silkiness and roundness make for a delicious selection now and will drink well for 15—20 years.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines8% Merlot; 7% Syrah; 2% Petit Verdot. Markedly riper in taste than it is in aroma, this heavy-footed wine steers headlong to glycerin and dried grapes despite its fruity, sweetly oaked nose. Its slightly soft and not-too-tannic construction invites drinking sooner rather than later.
