(From 2012 Vintage) Pepiere Les Gras Moutons 2012 Muscadet Sevre et Maine. There is a terrific seam of acidity that runs through this wine from start to finish. The nose offers up a touch of salinity, some savory spice and a nosefull of lime zest. The acid and zesty nature shows off itself on the palate with excellent acidity citrus and wet salty stones.
(From 2012 Vintage) This hand-crafted Muscadet has extended lees contact (in fact a rarity), giving his carefully-prepared wine the extra flavor, body, and crispness that makes it so refreshing. In addition, 40+ year-old vines, hand-harvesting, and natural yeast fermentation all add up to a major league, "soulful" Muscadet!
