"Aromas of chocolate, cherry and slight mint precede a palate of cocoa and black cherry flavors. This is an intense, complex wine that culminates in the perfect balance of wood and fruit on the finish." -Winery
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines7% Cabernet Franc. There is certain suggestion of Merlot in the sweet, mildly vanillin, cherry-like aromas of this amicable wine, and, while it shows an evident backbone of tannin, it hints once more at Merlot in its very smooth, raspberry and milk-chocolate flavors. It promises a bit of mid-term improvement but is wholly likeable now, and it comes with special recommendation to all looking for an attractive and fairly interesting wine that requires little patience.
