(2003 Vintage) Very deep ruby, concentrated, perhaps over-concentrated nose, lots of blackcurrant fruit and very good tannic/acid balance, rather less smooth than many at the moment, but has true depth of Cabernet fruit and potential complexity.
Description Beautifully crafted Bordeaux made from 46% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc. Displays a wealth of aromas on the nose with notes of cherry, liquorice and smoke. Elegant on the palate, with smooth refined tannins, well balanced structure and a never ending finish. Superb with roasted meats.
